Historic Fillmore Jazz Corridor Ushers In New Year's

20, 2008) San Francisco’s Fillmore District was once a
vibrant entertainment district when jazz clubs lined its streets.
With its recent restaurant and music additions, the area, now
called the Fillmore Jazz Preservation District, comes alive
once more, and celebrates New Year’s Eve with a number
of special events:
Christmas
Eve
The restaurant, 1300 on Fillmore, celebrates Christmas Eve with
Michael and Michala Cheadle singing holiday songs. The restaurant
will be serving its regular menu from 5pm-9pm. For information,

Year’s Eve Dining – Celebration Menus
Yoshi’s Jazz Club and Restaurant
celebrates New Year’s Eve with Executive Chef, Shotaro
'Sho' Kamio preparing a menu with seasonal specialties including
Big eye tuna tartar, Dungeness crab meat tempura, a fresh seaweed,
pear and Fuji apple salad and a host of other specialties. Dinner
includes a champagne toast and party favors. The jazz club presents
Grammy-award winning Latin-jazz pianist Eddie Palmieri and La
Perfecta II for $100 per person, 9pm show. Dinner and show packages

On Fillmore Restaurant 1300 on Fillmore, an intimate,
upscale Soulful American Cuisine restaurant and lounge presenting
the cuisine of acclaimed British-Jamaican chef David Lawrence.
The restaurant offers two fixed-price dinner options, complete
with champagne toast and party favors. Choose between a four-course,
fixed-price menu for $75 for the early seating or the 8:45 pm
seating at $100 per person. A six-course menu is also available
for $115, with oyster bisque, sweet potato gnocchi, shrimp etouffee,
duck prosciutto, filet of beef with a touchon of foie gras or
pan-roasted black bass, and a selection of desserts. Wine pairings

Jazz Club The Fillmore entertainment scene also includes
a number of other jazz venues and dining choices. Rasselas Jazz

located at 1534 Fillmore serves Ethiopian cuisine, will feature
a dinner buffet and show. The show will spotlight performances
by the five-piece R&B Neo Soul and Jazzbank and DJ Bobby
spinning soul, hip-hop and R& B dance favorites. Buffet
